Long before Austin was home to music festivals and Matthew McConaughey, it was my home and the place I learned to love beauty as reflected in nature and the arts. That inspiration informed my choice of interior design and art history degrees – a mashup of my passions.

Life in New York City provided the opportunity for formal training at the Art Students League, where I discovered abstract art is my true home.

To me, abstract art is symbolic of life—the layers, the colors that evoke freedom, the mistakes instead of focusing on perfectionism. It thrills me when a blank canvas comes alive to tell a story. The thought of bringing joy into other’s lives and creating a hunger for beauty is deeply satisfying. As Dostoevsky said, “Beauty will save the world.”
